I live in Virginia, but I am a native New Yorker. I have traveled extensively in the Caribbean. One of my favorite islands is Turks and Caicos because of it's beautiful beaches. I had the privilege of going to the Mediterranean on a cruise visiting Italy, Greece, Croatia, and France. Santorini is one of my favorite cities in Greece. I enjoy finding small towns that are not touristy and in Italy, the town of Lucas was that town. Another must in Italy and not to be missed is Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. I have sailed on Amawaterways River cruise and simply love it. Melodies of the Danube was just wonderful. Alaska has become my favorite US destination. Although it has a short season, you really do not want to miss all it has to offer. Taking the Alaska Explorer was a dream come true for my husband and we so enjoy the sites along the way. A cruise/tour is the best way to see most of Alaska. Not to be missed is the 8 hour Tundra tour.
