This is the first voyage with Viking. I don't have any other cruises of this type for a comparison.

It was adequate, but nothing 'world-shaking. Perhaps we have been 'spoiled' by too much time on Oceania.
Viking's guidelines for gratuities was off-base, €12 /day/person -OK, BUT to
'suggest' €2/day/person for the CRUISE DIRECTOR is "scandalous. Seriously,
150 ( conservative) times €30 equals €7500 for a 15-day tour. If he/she s that deserving, why doesn't Viking pay ? Perhaps suggest €15/day and give the C.D.
a share, same as rest of "crew".
