An excellent cruise. Cunard was at its best. When I broke my glasses, Cunard’s carpenters tried their best to fix them. All in all, would do it again!

We enjoyed our voyage on the QM2 for the purposes of experiencing a transatlantic crossing and comparing to my QE2 crossing in the 70s. The ship was full and it was hard to find a quiet spot to sit and read. Many of the lounges were full and noisy. The few quiet lounges had limited seating. There were many a to activities to choose from and we found the entertainment option better than another recent cruise. The rooms were adequate and the staff very responsive and overall service excellent. The dining areas were VERY busy during any key dining hours - 9 am, noon and 6 pm seatings. The

The voyage was very good except for the food. Breakfast and lunch were fine but dinners were redundant, unappetizing, meat was tough and variety of choices was limited. It was very disappointing. Service was excellent in all areas, entertainment was good, there were a variety of daily activities to choose from. Except for the food, it was a good adventure.

Very poor planning gor exiting the ship. Crazy huge line. Can’t understand why passengers couldn’t have divided into groups and disembarked by group. I don’t remember that this miserable situation ever happened before.

We were happy with the daily lectures. The food in the main restaurant could have been improved but we were happy with the selection of food on the buffet. Ordered a campari and soda plus a gin and tonic. We were charged for both the alcohol and the mixers, tho the mixers came from the tap. Entertainment from Cunard singers/dancers was wonderful, comedian and 3 male singers not so. Our fabulous travel agents, Doris and Jim Blatchford, (Unpack Once and Done), were so helpful and made our trip easy.

Overall the trip was wonderful. The highlights were the ambiance onboard was very relaxing, loads of dining options and quite decent food though choices were a little less numerous/high-end than previously, very good music and entertainment options highlighted by Queen’s room high tea daily and ballroom dancing nightly, good lectures. Excellent value for money. Service for the most part was good especially the head waiter and guest relations staff. Getting on and off the ship was a breeze.

Except for torrential rain on embarkation day l, weather was good. Shore experiences were okay, by far the best being the JFK Presidential Library in Boston. Could have used more time there. As usual the Queen’s Grill dining experiences were exceptional. Lots of tableside cooking and custom requests honored.

We were expecting something better. QM2 is really run down and has rust all over. We got a sheltered balcony room, which was nice, but the deck area was full of rust. We usually sail on Princess or Celebrity which we like. QM2 was supposed to be more elegant, have better services and, in general, wow its clients. Our electrical outlet stopped working about Day 3 and our steward got the breaker replaced but someone else came 2-3 days later wanting to know what was wrong with the electrical. The food was fine but not remarkable. When asking about transportation from port to train station

“Cunard was great but embarkation was handled poorly.”

The staff of Cunard was terrific. The boat was elegant and prestigious. The only problem was the embarkation was handled poorly after the boat was late arriving after a medical emergency. I would think that the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal would have a better plan for these situations.

Overall, the world cruise was great. But, we were very disappointed with the food for the evening meal. Breakfast and lunch were good but usually we had to look up what was on the evening menu to find out what we would be eating . We couldn’t have asked for better service and the entertainment was good, with a few ups and downs. The world club dinner was a fiasco but they tried to make up for it with entertainment and notables. We could tell they were cutting corners in a few areas. The QM2 is showing her age but for safety in rough seas you couldn’t ask for a better liner ( the only on

Calm seas, beautiful weather, incredible scenery in Norway. QM2 continues to be our favorite ship, the only way to cross the Atlantic in my opinion.

“Crossing was firstly leg of working/vacation trip to Croatia”

This was our second crossing ion the Queen Mary 2. First was in 2019, chosen over flying to Europe, on recommendation of surgeon following major back surgery for George Bonacich. We enjoyed it so much that we decided this would be our way to get to Europe for annual trips to Croatia. Service was excellent, cuisine was wonderful, and we look forward to our return trip, departing Hamburg on June 22.

we had calm seas the entire way. the scones were excellent. The softie ice grade machine did not make my grade. I prefer the gelato bar on the Viking Ocean. the coconut ice cream served as dessert was excellent.
