The negatives included bad experiences both ways with British Airways - direct flight outbound arbitrarily split into 2 flights and on the return, massive difficulties getting special needs passengers onto the aircraft LOADING US ONTO THE AIRCRAFT USING A FOOD SUPPLY LIFT TRUCK ON THE TARMAC!!!!!! The cruise itself had a lot of positives, including the wonderful service and housekeeping personal. My cabin had heating problems for 5 days - “resetting a fuse” for 4 days and finally REPLACING THE HEATING COMPONENTS ON THE 5th day. Trip leader was very good and other staff were good also. Enjoyed

Would like to see more included activities. Ship was often tied up on the middle of other ships which blocked our view while in port. Not the fault of Avalon but trip was cut short due to high water. Avalon did their best to make alternative arrangements.

I had a great time. Probably the best day was sitting on the boat floating on the Danube and enjoying the beautiful scenery the Lord has created in the Wachau Valley. All the workers on the boat were very friendly, food was great.

The boat was beautiful and the staff was excellent. Traveling from city to city with such ease was a pleasure.

What a wonderful way to ramp up to the Christmas season. Great cruise director, great food, great planning. There was a great group of people who enjoyed every day.

Cruise Director Maria was the most valuable resource. Avalon ship was top notch. Only challenge was some of the tour guides got into the weeds too much and minimized our personal visiting time.

Our trip was phenomenal and exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredible, the food delicious, the weather perfect (more luck than anything)! Our favorite stop was Prague, but all of the places we visited had local guides and we felt that we got a lot out of each experience. I highly recommend this cruise with Avalon. Simone was our cruise director and I think she deserves credit for making everything run smoothly. Marcie, our amazing housekeeper, kept our room (including a live orchid) in pristine condition. I cannot wait to take my next cruise with Avalon!

Our 8-night Avalon river cruise on the Envision was absolutely perfect! From the accommodations, to the staff, to the excursions, we were very pleased with every aspect of our vacation. In my opinion, the very best way to see the world. We loved our cruise so much, we’re already talking to our travel agent to book another trip! Avalon gets it right!

Beautiful boat, delicious food, a great variety of interesting excursions, fun and brilliant tour guides, organization extraordinaire. Danube Dreams lived up to its name.

Food, sights, tours and service were above what we expected. Fabulous !

I tested positive for covid the night before I was to disembark. Avalon, both staff on board and corporate office, attempted to find somewhere I could quarantine. With nothing available they did not leave me stranded. I was allowed to stay onboard and quarantine in my cabin. I was well fed during quarantine. As a single woman traveling alone I appreciated their care and compassion.

I have always dreamed of taking a river cruise and it was more wonderful then we ever imagined.

Cruise, food, and activities on board were awesome. Side tours were also amazing and well planned. Very very beautiful architecture and scenery. Enjoyed every minute of time on board and on the tours. Only negative was the Munich airport. Not enough time to make easy connection because of their security. Was the last one to board. Very high stress for me. I still would highly recommend the trip though, as you will go home with many amazing memories.

Ok, we really enjoyed our second Avalon cruise. The low water was a pain and we know you can't fix that. But the comp of a free concert in Vienna, while nice, did not in our opinion compensate for the lost value of the river restriction. We understand that the restriction is common and we think better back up plans should be executed that adequately compensate for the lost value n the future. Food that was prepared was good, but desserts were lacking and menu seemed a bit less than premium sometimes.

my favorite cruise ever, the stops and the tours were excellent, the staff on the ship are amazing and so friendly. The food is good and the wine and beer plentiful. Every tour guide was so knowledgeable. Looking forward to my next Avalon River Cruise.

Third trip and we continue to be amazed at the quality!

Unfortunately the River water level was too low and the ship was unable to travel into all the ports. So sad, as being on the River was our favorite part.

Beautiful ship with well-designed and comfortable staterooms, great itinerary, terrific cruise director and good service overall. The food was good but not great.
