We recently booked a 7 night river cruise and 6 night extension (2 nights in Amsterdam, 2 nights in Lake Lucerne, 2 nights in Zurich). In Amsterdam although the hotel was nice, the bed was terribly hard and our room had giant spotlights that illuminate the building right under our windows so you couldn't make the room dark even with blackout shades. The ship was great, top notch however the food was not very good, 3 star at best. The bed was hard as a rock and we had to request padding to make it sleep worthy. The service, personnel and food were exceptional. There were lots of options for the day tours and everything ran exactly on schedule. It was an amazing trip and we hope to do another cruise with AMA in the future.

This was my second AMA CRUISE …as before I was impressed with the cleanliness, professionalism of staff, variety of food choices and the excursions. I hope to have another AMA cruise in 2025!

Our first AmaWaterways cruise, but it won’t be our last. Everything was top notch from a representative meeting us at the airport in Zürich to meeting us at the airport in Amsterdam. The included tours and local tour guides were fantastic and knowledgeable. AmaSiena was beautiful and the crew we dealt with was accommodating and hardworking. Our vacation was truly amazing!

Despite mercurial weather, the cruise was very nice. We enjoyed visiting the towns along the France/Germany border, sampling cuisine, learning about the fascinating history and experiencing the beautiful architecture . We met some fun people to share the sip and sail happy hour and evenings with . The castles were awesome too. Food and wines were good and several evenings there was a local menu to sample from.

We had two ships due to low water, so for the AmaSiena: Housekeeping was phenomenal - so kind and pleasant! I adored Sonja and she even taught me to say good morning in Serbian! Food was mediocre at best - three times I got undercooked fish so I stopped ordering fish. My tablemates likewise had doneness issues with their food. Food was salty and not great, even the Chaine des Rotisseurs dinner was a disappointment. If the food had been as good as on the AmaLucia (see below, second half of the voyage) I would have given the cruise 5 stars. The Chef's Table dinner was the standout - really fanta

The trip exceeded our expectations! The beauty and magic of the River, castles and European towns created memories we won't forget. The hospitality of the staff on board the boat was wonderful. Everything was kept exceptionally clean. We had a great time meeting other guests. There were numerous great excursions at each stop that all sounded so fun we had a hard time each day deciding. Can't wait for our next chance to cruise!

What a perfect cruise! The ship was perfect, not one amenitie was overlooked, the dinning services were excellent, food was excellent! The best part was the staff!! Everyone!! The cruise manager was unbelievable in her attentiveness to a guest! She managed it all! Every employee we came into contact was so gracious! I highly recommend Amawaterways!!

Staff were amazing but food was better than average but not amazing for the price - we paid about a third more than Viking and was told that the food was amazing. I had the vegan option and it was pretty good - the staff really tried for me - but my wife said the food was good but not great Second for the money we thought there would be more vine options - white wine was limited and earlier happy hour would have been better.

The crew of the AmaSiena were absolutely amazing. The entire crew made us very special and treated us with kindness. The food above the AmaSiena was extraordinary. It was like eating at a five star restaurant for every meal. There were dishes that I would normally not select or eat but the kitchen staff made everything taste wonderful. The trip was a balance between going on excursions and relaxing on the ship was we traveled down the river. We had a fabulous Rhine River cruise. The best part was the precruise in Zurich and Lucerne. The crew and service was fantastic and Nikola was the best cruise director ever.

The cruise was excellent in every way, as was the cruise manager! We also did the pre-cruise days, which were a great addition to the trip. We made friends with a group that we enjoyed for the entire cruise.

This is my third cruise. Each cruise was with a different cruise line. AmaWaterways is definitely my favorite. The crew members were amazing, the food was outstanding, and the excursions were well organized. I would definitely consider going on one of their other trips.

My wife and I were entirely pleased with our Rhine cruise. The ship was immaculate, the staff superb, and the cruise and destinations were excellent.
