The service was exceptional on Ama Waterways. There was always a smile and eagerness to give the best service possible. The only critique I have is that quite a few of the tours were a little too broad in scope. I wish that there had been a historian lecturer on board that gave more of an in-depth background on the areas we visited.

Everyone on staff was warm, professional and very service oriented. The tours were good with gentle options. Food was stellar.

Loved every minute of it!!! Amazing views from the boat & wonderful local guides on the excursions!!! Especially loved the bicycle excursions!!! Definitely over fed because the food was too good to pass up!! Unfortunately did not lose weight from all the walking??!!!

This was a great trip. We had very high expectations due to sailing the Rhine with them 5 years ago. It was again, great food, staff and well organized. The only reason it wasn’t a full 5 is that this cruise had very little down time and we felt we were running from one thing to another. It’s just the way the ports all lined up I’m sure. But we were finding we wished we had more time in the ports to explore.

My wife and I did this trip for our tenth wedding anniversary and it could not have been better. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and met many wonderful people. The staff and crew are friendly, accommodating and very helpful. I would highly recommend this cruise.

The Captain, the Hotel Manager, the staff, the service team, the bar crew, the housekeepers - everything and everyone was excellent! The food, the amenities, the thoughtful design of the staterooms, counter space, lighting - exceptional. The cities, excursions and scenery were awesome. This was a most satisfying experience - the staff aboard made it so. I look forward to my next experience.

Everything about my experience with Amawaterways is outstanding. The entire ship is in pristine condition. The food is just five star class. The staff is just so friendly and helpful. The staff knew our names by the second day we were on the ship. I never expected the experience to be so wonderful.

It was a spectacular river cruise. AMA took care of us during our entire journey, from meeting us at 11:00 p.m. at the Prague airport to escorting us to the check in desk for our flight from Budapest home. The destinations were festive and the food-as always- was top notch!

We had a great time on our pre-cruise stay in Prague, and on the Danube river cruise! Met so many wonderful people and saw so many old European cities and beautiful Christmas markets. Each stop was filled with so many memories, and being on the ship was like being at a home away from home. The cruise staff were all so welcoming and nice and everything on board was first-class. We will definitely plan on another AmaWaterways river cruise in the future.

We spent 3 days in Prague followed by 7 days cruising the Danube on the Amalea. amawaterways never disappoints. Our cruise was spectacular.

Exploring some of the great cities of Europe by riverboat was everything we dreamed it would be. The excellent service we receive from staff, including our fantastic cruise Director David, was only excited by the many friends that we made. The food served was truly at a five star level. We look forward to our next adventure with AmaWaterways.

Easter week, our cruise had only 32 passengers -service was excellent. AMALea ship was impeccable and cleaned non stop inside and out during trip. Housekeeping was top notch: efficient, clean, excellent staff. Food and wine was the best we've ever had on a cruise (MUCH better than Viking!). Excellent quality wines in each country: Germany, Austria, etc. Only complaint was that they continuously rushed the courses: you barely swallowed last appetizer and main course appeared. My sister and I were scheduled to depart for our Melodies of the Danube cruise on the day Austria went into lockdown for Covid-19. Most of the excursions were in Austria so we panicked. We should not have had a care in the world! Amawaterways reached out to us immediately to discuss our options. We were able to fly into Budapest as planned for our independent 2 days pre-cruise. We then stayed on the AmaLea as originally scheduled but then AmaWaterways transferred us without any expense to Zurich to join the AmaLucia on the Enchanting Rhine tour. They then transferred us from Amsterdam to Pragu

Standard of service that we are accustomed to from previous Ama cruises was not provided. Very disappointed with the Cruise Manager and service received in the dining room. Have already sent an email directly to AmaWaterways.

When we heard that Austria was locked down and the Christmas markets closed in Germany, we really considered cancelling. So happy we didn’t! The crew and tour guides were amazing and we did get to see Christmas markets in Hungary. Would definitely take more AMA cruises!

This River Cruise went so far above my expectations, in all areas. Crew, accomodations, food, wines, tours, attention to detail. And as a retired nurse, I so appreciated the Covid standards and compiance by all. I very much hope to do this again...only with AmaWaterways!!! Michelle
