“Diamond Princess Disappointing Service and Medallion App”

This was our first time cruising with the Medallion App. Our experience was that you had to order drinks ahead of time or face a 40 minute wait for your drinks. Also you had to plan days ahead on the app when you wanted to eat in order to get a place for dinner. One dining room said we cannot help you and we do not talk to the other dining rooms so you have to go to each one and find out if they can seat you. Another said "the computer is showing red for that time I cannot help you". We thought vacation was about not planning everything and enjoying the moments. We voiced these concerns

Great Crew. Dining Great. Spa Services relaxing and top notch but, Lousy pre-board interactions with the company. very frustrating. emails and app didnt sync together; could not make any reservations on the app ahead of time, but all communication from Princess told us to go thru the app. lots of time on phone with agents that could not answer questions. no address for cruise port , so difficult time getting taxi to Yokohama. Boarding day was chaos in hot unorganized mess. created a lot of stress at start of trip. Our stateroom Air conditioning was subpar - something was wrong, very

The cruise was great. I received all credits and was able to spend them on shore excursions as well as ship-board purchases. The rough start was that Princess failed to notify my agent of a port change in Yokohama that happened about a week before the cruise start date. It was very stressful arriving at an empty industrial port literally in the middle of nowhere with a taxi driver who spoke no English. We could see our ship across the bay. It took 30 minutes, lots of pointing, and an extra $30 to get to the right port. Worse though, another family was in the same situation. They arrived
