customers say

The Norwegian Epic receives mixed reviews, with many guests praising the staff, service, and itineraries, but expressing significant dissatisfaction with the ship's design, crowded spaces, cabin layouts, and extra charges. Food and entertainment are generally rated as good, though not exceptional, and the ship's cleanliness and maintenance are noted as inconsistent. Many guests feel the ship is too large and crowded, leading to long waits and a lack of relaxation. Value for money is questioned due to frequent extra charges. Excursions and ports are often highlights, but organization can be lacking. Internet and specialty services receive lower marks. Overall, the Norwegian Epic is best suited for those who prioritize itinerary and service over ship design and crowd levels.

Service

Service is frequently highlighted as a strong point, with many guests praising the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, though some mention inconsistent experiences and occasional lack of attentiveness.

"All the crew members are hardworking people, but they treat us so well every time. They don't show their tiredness and that is a very difficult thing to do after long working hours. Always smiling and ready to serve."
"The Epic was an amazing ship, the staff was phenomenal, even calling us by first names after the first day! I couldn't find one thing that I would change."
"NCL needs more staff & a better attitude"
“Disappointed ”
3 Stars
Cruise Date: 08/12/2025
Destination: Europe
The ship was the disappointment. Our room needed updated carpet, furniture, mattress had no mattress cover and very uncomfortable. We paid for an upgrade and they put us in a handicap room. We take a shower it would flood the bathroom floor. Our room steward was rude to us. Speciality dining room served me a burnt filet. The two specialty shows had to make reservations we tried but they stated full . We stood in line see if we could get in and we did, but when we went in on a quarter was filled. Everything cost extra. Don't go on the Epic to big and two many people. On our floor people

Room small, shower could not regulate. Canapés stale bread, Had to wait on line for complimentary restaurants. Needed reservation for shows. Too much to list, the crew were great along with the food & drinks. Way to crowded for my liking.

Was not one our best cruises. Will not go on the Epic again. To crowded to get into shows without waiting for an hour. Not enough wait staff on the pool deck (the lines were ten deep at times to get a beverage). There was no separation at the main pools (over run by young children with swim gear). Not enough room for the adults. On a good note the food was very in the restaurants. Embarkment and disembarkment went fine.

“2 Bedroom Suite Disappointing”
4 Stars
Cruise Date: 12/21/2024
Destination: Caribbean
Although we generally enjoyed the cruse, the Haven two-bedroom suite was disappointing. It was more of one bedroom with a small college dorm type room with a futon. Not suitable for older adults not used to sleeping 8 inches off the floor.
