Read on for more details on the best of this new ship…
Encore Entertainment Boasts State-of-the-Art Technology
Book an Encore cruise to get a firsthand experience of one of the most entertaining ships on the open seas. The innovation is second to none onboard the Breakaway Plus class of ships and will most likely have you wanting to sail Encore again and again.
The Largest Racetrack at Sea
You’ll never have a dull moment onboard this Breakaway Plus class ship. If you love thrills, you’ll most likely be hanging out at the racetrack on the top deck. It is the largest at sea and the track extends 13 feet over the edge of the ship. You’ll experience stunning views as you literally zoom with fellow cruisers over the ocean. It’s truly a unique experience for speedsters!
Virtual Reality Escape Room and Simulators
Another innovative activity that is fun for all ages is the 10,000-square-foot Galaxy Pavilion venue. Encore’s cutting-edge technology shines here with its multiple virtual reality games and rides. Norwegian pulled out all the stops as this is some of the most convincing VR in the world. Enjoy a VR maze, escape room that features holograms and enchanted artifacts, and awesome simulator rides.
Waterslides, Laser Tag, and Live Shows
For those sunny days at sea when you are making your way from island to island, you can take a dip in the pool or slide down one of the waterslides to have some fun and cool off. Or get a group together and play laser tag in the Atlantis-themed, open-air laser tag course (also the largest at sea). Beware, the laser tag can become addicting!
Another fun thing to do onboard is to check out a Broadway-style show, like the Tony Award-winning Kinky Boots, or stop by the Social Comedy club nonstops laughs. The comedy club also turns into a late-night club with a DJ and dance floor. The Cavern Club also gets rave reviews for its Beatles cover band and wonderful replication of the Liverpool club where the Beatles performed.
The New Italian Onda, and More Delightful Restaurants and Bars
Onda by Scarpetta is the newest restaurant to be added to Norwegian and it features a delicious menu of Italian and seafood favorites. You can find Onda at the Waterfront if you want to sit down and indulge in the in-house-made pasta and mouth-watering seafood, including sushi.
In addition to Onda, there are more than enough bars and lounges to choose from throughout your sailing. There is a ton of variety whether you are craving Texas-style BBQ or a hearty steak from Q or Cagney’s steakhouse, fresh seafood from Ocean Blue, or Japanese cuisine from Teppanyaki, you’ll be fully satisfied. The District Brew House is a great place to grab a beer while enjoying sprawling views, and for the best cocktails try Sugarcane Mojito Bar, Mixx Bar, and the Observation Lounge.
The Luxurious Haven Suites
All cabins are industry-best onboard this ship, but for those who want the ultimate in luxury should book a stay in the Haven Suites. These are lavishly spacious staterooms with private balconies, premium bathroom amenities, and VIP access to a private courtyard, restaurant, and bar only accessible to Haven guests. It is truly one of the best cruising experiences you can find.
